I just put the ground beef in the bag and seal it. My own grind or store bought. Been doing it for years and never had a problem.1 · -

Yep, Akorn Jr for me. 14" grid, will do a burger or a butt! About $150. I doubt if they still have 'em anywhere at this price, but Walmart had 'em marked down to $35 a couple of months…1 · -

If it's too close to the meat, that'll cause a lower than actual reading. So I understand anyway. I clip mine to the dome thermo probe. That's the temp most recipes give and that'…2 · -
